We are aware that our individual teeth must be take cared it we wanted to live it longer without any tooth
decays that might possibly decrease the chance to have a health and safe teeth. For that, here are some tips on how to take care of your teeth specially for your children who does not have any idea yet about taking care of their teeth.
* Supervise tooth-brushing with fluoride toothpaste, especially after meals. When they’re older, teach your children to use dental floss.
* Avoid between-meal snacks of sweets, sugary foods, and sweetened drinks as they cause tooth decay. Know what your children eat and drink at school.
* Have your dentist make your children mouth guards for sporting activities. A custom-made mouth guard fits better and is much more comfortable than one off the shelf, so your child will want to wear it.
* If your child’s teeth become damaged in any way, see the dentist immediately.
* Take your children for regular checkups. To prevent decay, your dentist can apply fluoride solutions or seal small pits in the enamel that are prone to decay.
* Remember, at this age teeth are often crooked. Ask your dentist if any corrective treatment is needed.
